The heart behind Athalia Optical.

I was born and raised in Nwamitwa, Mandlakazi Village, where I learned the values of hard work, service, and perseverance from my parents. My late father, Shipachi Ngoveni, was a businessman, and my mother, Francina Ngoveni, dedicated her life to serving others as a social worker. Their example shaped the person I am today.

My journey into optometry was driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Over the years, I had the privilege of owning and operating multiple optometry practices, helping thousands of people improve their vision and quality of life.

As I worked with patients, I witnessed firsthand how conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, and other eye diseases affected individuals and families. I realized that access to quality eye care and early detection could change lives.

After the closure of one of my previous practices, I faced a crossroads. Rather than giving up, I chose to start again. That decision led to the birth of Athalia Optical.

The name "Athalia" means "God be exalted" and reflects my faith and gratitude for the journey that brought me here. Athalia Optical was founded on a simple but powerful vision: Vision for All.

Today, Athalia Optical is more than an optometry practice. It is a place where every patient is treated with care, respect, and excellence. We combine advanced technology, professional expertise, and stylish, affordable eyewear to ensure that quality eye care is accessible to everyone.

Every morning when I walk through the doors of Athalia Optical, I am reminded that this journey is bigger than me. It is about helping people see clearly, protecting sight through early detection, and making a positive impact in our community.
